Ability Camp Inc, now completing our tenth year, provides Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) as an alternative therapy for the following conditions:

  • Cerebral Palsy and Traumatic Brain Injuries
  • Stroke Recovery
  • Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • ADD/ADHD and Autism

During our sessions the clients enter our large chamber which can accommodate six clients plus care givers if necessary. Once everyone is ready to proceed we slowly increase the pressure of the surrounding air. Upon reaching 1.5 ATA vinyl Oxygen hoods are placed over the client's head. As we increase the ambient pressure the Oxygen molecules are squeezed closer together thus allowing higher concentrations to be transferred into the blood stream and carried throughout the body to the central nervous system, muscles, bones etc.

Research by leading Doctors in the Hyperbaric field have found through the use of SPECT scans, that clients with various brain injuries usually have areas of the brain which display very low levels of activity. After multiple Hyperbaric exposures these very same areas tend to increase their activity level dramatically .We have performed over 21,000 dives to date and clients have commented on gains made in many areas such as increased vocabulary, reduced spasticity, improved vision, better swallowing and improved balance and gait.

It has been reported by K.K. Jain M.D. a researcher and neurologist that the improvements from HBOT in motor power and spasticity were made permanent when combined with physical therapy. We also offer combined Hyperbaric and Conductive Education (Intensive Physical Therapy) for both children and adults.
